Attention Linux ethusiasts of the Lancaster area – We just started forming the all new LUG right here in your back yard. For those of you who are members of CPLUG, we are not trying to detract from your mission and ultimately hope we can all be friends. With the number of Linux users growing year after year, it just made sense to reinstate a group that once existed here. Lancaster did, at one time have its own Linux user group. Hopefully those invividuals can be located and we can find the history behind it.
If you are interested in participating, please drop a comment and let us know.

I wasn’t around for the original group, but due to the distance I didn’t make many trips to Philly (or the Central PA group). I’ve pretty much settled into a groove with Linux full-time, but there are a lot of things I’d like to explore with someone else out there who may have tinkered already.
I’m definitely interested. I’m one of those horrid Ubuntu users, though – are we (and our ignorant ways) welcome?
Hi there. I am interested in knowing when you meet up and where. I am the MD at Shadowcat Systems an Open Source company based in Lancaster and am interested in supporting your efforts and coming to meetings. Also I will be starting a NW Perl Mongers group to meet monthly in Preston which will be open to Perl users but we’d also like to involve people who use the systems and other languages as well as the OSS ethos is close to our hearts and a free trade of information/talks and general chat over beerage is good for all of us.
I’m interested. I live downtown. I’ve used Linux on my home computer for four or five years, but I barely scratch the surface of what can be done with it. I’d love to learn more from others.
